I made this at my studio while Melissa Horner was there working on her commissions. I spent the time listening to MC Chris and flipping through (and drawing out of) old YM magazines from 2003.
Teen girl magazines are funny, greedy, and disturbing. Nobody can achieve that lifestyle- at least not on a budget and while maintaining health.
Greed has always been a theme in my art. After all, who doesn't have a hard time drawing the line between greed and ambition? Satisfaction and laziness? Wanting what you have and being afraid of taking risks to get more out of life?
Well, now it's on a salt dish.
