hymn

Oh vast planet, rest your back on me,
come and hide within my furnished heart.

Polish your soft haze on me, come in from the grey outside.
Everyplace is home.
If you feel alone, look up. look down;
lost at sea we are never alone.
below the surface of the waves there is so much life.

I am the sea, I have been
since first I offered myself towards the water.
Submerge, troubled world. Put your head in my hands.
It is so noisy out there. Come in, for safety:
My door is once again unlocked.
Here, all your useless sorrows are merely echoes.
